Reconnect with the Things You Love

People experiencing vision loss due to End-Stage AMD may be anxious and frustrated about losing control over their lives because they can no longer see people and objects clearly. Additionally, central vision loss is invisible to others so even friends and family may not fully comprehend the impact on their loved one's life. While the CentraSight treatment program does not represent a cure for End-Stage AMD, the telescope implant has been shown in clinical trials to improve vision and quality of life for patients with End-Stage AMD based on a questionnaire developed by the National Eye Institute. In clinical studies, patients who received the telescope implant on average reported they were less dependent on others, less frustrated and worried about their vision, less limited in their ability to see, and better able to visit with others and recognize facial expressions/reactions.

The CentraSight treatment program goal is to help you see more with your central vision, and reconnect you to those things in life you love to see and do.

The potential surgical risks of the telescope implantation procedure include those of routine cataract surgery such as inflammation, as well as those of large-incision eye surgery such as cornea edema.
