The CentraSight Program Procedure & Rehabilitation

Although End-Stage AMD is a retinal disease and the CentraSight treatment program is provided by retina specialists, the telescope prosthesis implantation procedure is performed by a cornea-trained cataract surgeon to implant the device in the eye.

The Visual Training/Rehabilitation Program

In the CentraSight visual training/rehabilitation program, your patient will work with a low vision optometrist and occupational therapist to maximize their visual function and reach specific goals involving everyday activities. Your patient's program, individualized over several weeks to months, is designed to provide them with the skills needed to use their new central vision provided by the telescope prosthesis in their everyday activities.
