Provider Reimbursement and Hospital Coding

Insurance and Medicare Coverage

The telescope implant is approved by the FDA. Many Medicare insurance carriers have established coverage policies for the telescope implant procedure. If you meet the general medical and visual eligibility criteria for the telescope implant, you will have access to informational reimbursement resources as part of the CentraSight treatment program.

Getting Help to Determine Your Insurance Benefits

We are committed to helping you and your family determine whether your medical insurance covers the telescope implant. The first step is to understand if you meet the general medical and visual eligibility criteria for the treatment program. If so, you can request a CentraSight Access Care Manager or Information Specialist to answer your questions about the treatment, eligibility, treatment center locations, and insurance coverage, including Medicare benefits. Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans are required by law to cover medically necessary procedures and services, but coverage policy and treatment center arrangements may not yet be in place in your area.

What Would My Co-payment/Co-insurance Be for the Treatment?

Once you are found eligible for treatment and insurance coverage, your CentraSight Access Care Manager and treatment provider center can help you estimate your potential co-payment/co-insurance.

To find out if you may be a candidate for the CentraSight treatment program, please fill out the Candidacy Guide Form.

Are You a Candidate?

The telescope implant has been shown to improve vision and quality of life in people with End-Stage AMD. Not everyone who has End-Stage AMD is a candidate for the CentraSight treatment program.
